Finally Ohpopup’s website is here, Hurray!
It has been a busy and exciting time. Since I quit my full-time job last October a lot has changed. I haven’t been able to put 100% of my time in Ohpopup so I’ve been trying to get the right balance between making cards and other projects. It’s difficult to keep going when you can’t put 100% of your attention on your business. However I’ve been growing and made some big steps.
What have I been up to then?
At the start of this year I’ve been working for the wonderful company Royal FloraHolland. They are the biggest flower auction in the Netherlands with great ideas for a greener life. I just couldn’t resist working for the growth of a product as beautiful as flowers. It was a great challenge. The last 3 months I’ve been trying to find the balance between working for Royal FloraHolland and Ohpopup.
Working on the website
There has been a lot of time spend on setting up the website and creating stock for my Etsy shop. After creating the first design of the website I was lucky enough to have one of my great friends Mara help me with the development. She’s an incredibly enthusiastic developer with endless positive energy. So if you get a chance to work with her, do! And be sure to check out her work well.
One of the finishing touches was getting a professional photo that fits my colorful business. The portrait photo of me on this website is taken by the lovely Marijn de Wijs. I’m incredibly happy with such a beautiful photo, for more portrait photography (and many other things) be sure to check out her portfolio.
Celebrating the launch
With only just the finishing touches of the website to be done I started to prepare for a launching party. And since I’m in a business of cards of course I needed to produce a lot of invites. While creating the cards for this party I’ve also tried out laser cutting! It’s definitely a great technique for cutting. After cutting the basis of the cards I just had a lot of puzzling to do…
And TADA!! The final card:
I hope you like how the website turned out. I would love to know what you think so leave me a comment ♥
And be sure to check out Mara’s work as well as Marijn’s photography
